The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) is the governing body for the Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba. The College's duty is to carry out its activities and govern its members in a manner that serves and protects the public interest. The College establishes requirements to enter the profession and assures the quality of the practice of LPNs through the development and enforcement of standards and practice and continuing competence programs.

The Manitoba Nurses Union (MNU) and the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) have released a joint statement on two issues which are negatively impacting on the practice and working lives of Licensed Practical Nurses: Viewing the Body Following Death, and Restraint Regulation in Personal Home Care.
