The College's duty is to carry out its activities and govern its members in a manner that serves and protects the public interest. The College establishes requirements to enter the profession and assures the quality of the practice of LPNs through the development and enforcement of standards and practice and continuing competence programs.
Ms. Lynn Marks, President of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba today announced, on behalf of the Board of Directors, the appointment of Ms. Pat MacDonald as the new Executive Director for the College.

Following a search process conducted over the last many months, the Board is pleased with its unanimous decision and is confident that Ms. MacDonald’s appointment is the right choice for the College going forward.
Ms. MacDonald has been involved in a senior capacity with the College for over 13 years, as the Director of Professional Practice and Competency. She brings a wide range of experience and knowledge to her new position, and is committed to fulfilling the mandate and challenges that lie ahead in a changing health care delivery environment.
