Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS)

Heart and Stroke has announced a new course offering which may be of interest to Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba.

Heart and Stroke identifies that the Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) course: “prepares healthcare providers caring for pediatric patients with foundational skills to assess, recognize, and participate in the initial management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest.”  PEARS may be a good fit for health care providers who see children infrequently, but  who may be first on the scene in a pediatric emergency.
