COVID-19: New Telepractice Guideline

Published April 3, 2020

A working group, comprised of several Manitoba health regulatory colleges, has prepared a guideline on telepractice to assist health care professionals who are looking for new ways to deliver some of their services remotely, in the context of COVID-19.

Telepractice is the term used to describe virtual health services. Telepractice is sometimes referred to as telehealth or virtual health care.

LPNs will recognize that it is not possible or appropriate to deliver all services by telepractice.  LPNs who identify that telepractice may help them meet some of their client’s needs, during this unusual time, are encouraged to review the guideline and to contact the CLPNM with any questions.
