The Board of Directors of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) is comprised of 12 members, six of whom are LPNs elected to the Board by the registrants on the active practising register of the CLPNM.
The role of the LPNs elected to the Board by their peers is to assist in regulating the profession in a manner that serves and protects the public interest.
There will be a total of three vacancies on the Board, beginning June, 2019, which are to be filled by election.
- District 1 (within Winnipeg city limits): one vacancy
- District 2 (outside Winnipeg city limits): two vacancies
Five eligible LPNs have been nominated: two for District 1, and three for District 2. As a result, an election will take place in both districts.
All LPNs on the active practising register will be eligible to vote in one of the two districts. Voting eligibility is based on the district that corresponds to the LPN’s primary location of practice.
The window for voting will open on April 15, 2019, and close on April 26, 2019. An email will be sent to all active practising registrants on April 15, 2019, outlining instructions for online voting, and providing information about each candidate.
