Online CLPNM Quizzes

The CLPNM has two types of online quizzes that may be assigned to CLPNM applicants or registrants.  These are the:

  • Jurisprudence Education Module Quiz
  • Annual Professional Learning Module Quizzes

If you have been assigned one of these quizzes, please review the information on this web page in full.

Note that the information on this page does not pertain to the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE), which is administered by a third party.

How to Access an Online Quiz

If you have been assigned a CLPNM online quiz, you will access it through the CLPNM’s online registration system.

  • You will see quizzes that are assigned or available to you under “My Exams” on your dashboard.
  • Launch the quiz by clicking on the small plus (+) icon or pencil icon which will appear to the right of the quiz.

If the quiz is associated with a fee, you will need to pay the fee before being able to proceed.  After paying the fee, you may be redirected back to your dashboard. If so, simply click on “Pending” again to start the quiz.

Once you have finished the quiz, your results will be automatically recorded in your online registration profile.

Troubleshooting Tips

If the answer is saving there will be a brief darkened screen with a cogwheel and message stating “Saving Answer.”

The quiz should autosave after each answer. However, if you see a red box with the word “Error” written in it, it likely means that the answer was not saved properly, even if it was filled in.

If this happens, it is most likely due to an issue with the internet connection.

Solution: click a different answer, then click back to your original answer and make sure the error message is not reappearing.

The exam will not save if it doesn’t recognize that all answers have been submitted.

If your internet connection was unstable when you entered some of your responses, it is possible the responses are not being recognized by the system.

Solution: temporarily click a different answer, wait to see if it saves, then click on the correct answer again. This should prompt the system to re-evaluate and save your response.

If your quiz status us stuck at “pending” it suggests your responses did not get saved and submitted properly.

Solution: click back into the pending exam, which will prompt it to mark your results.

If your responses did not save properly due to a disruption in your internet connectivity, there is a chance you may need to fill out the quiz again. If you have exhausted the default number of quiz attempts due to a technical issue, please contact us so we can assist you
