New Nursing in a Team Environment Resource Document

April 23, 2020

Today, the Colleges of Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba are pleased to release a new, jointly-developed resource document, Nursing in a Team Environment.

Manitoba’s three nursing regulators frequently receive questions about how to best understand the roles of licensed practical nurses (LPN), registered nurses (RN) and registered psychiatric nurses (RPN) in a specific practice setting. With that in mind, the three regulators set out to provide a common framework for this discussion through the consideration of several factors that underpin effective collaboration between health care professionals including the client.

The context for and purpose of this new resource document is described in more detail in a joint statement issued by the executives of Manitoba’s three nursing regulatory colleges. Review the joint statement here.
