The CLPNM has updated its practice direction on Interprofessional Collaborative Care. The practice direction was created in collaboration with the Office of Interprofessional Collaboration, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and ten other Manitoba regulatory colleges.
The practice direction outlines expectations for collaboration with others involved in the profession of care in a team-based environment. It is informed by the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC) Competency Framework for Advancing Collaboration (2024).

Practice directions assist practical nurses (LPNs, GPNs, SPNs) to understand their professional responsibilities and legal obligations. Practical nurses are held accountable for practising in accordance with CLPNM practice directions.
